Our Story
By 1984 the recreational boating industry had turned its back on wooden boats and as the economy changed and fiberglass boats became the norm, Cliffe Craft stopped building new boats and concentrated on repairs, restorations of wooden boats and manufactured paddles.
In 1996 a new venture was started – the production of wooden reels for the wire and cable industry. With the expertise and equipment available Cliffe Craft started with one customer and continues to increase its customer base and product lines to this day.
Although the name was changed to GanReel Manufacturing Inc. to better reflect the focus of the company, the commitment to producing a high quality product to satisfy strong customer demands continues.
